Germanton Baptist Church

Germanton Baptist Church will vote June 28, 2009 regarding a call to Justin Jones to serve as Interim Pastor, beginning July, 2009.

In April, I received news that my dear friend, Dennis Collins, was experiencing kidney failure. Dennis is Pastor of Germanton Baptist Church, a village just outside of Winston-Salem, NC. Dennis was on kidney dialysis for a several weeks. As a direct result of the prayers of many friends and family, his kidneys began to work again!!

We, the church family, family and friends are thankful that the Lord has seen fit to resume the function of DennisŐ kidneys. However, his complete recovery will take much longer.

The Germanton church family asked Lisa and me to pray about coming to serve for an interim period while Dennis recovers.

After prayerful consideration, we believe the Lord wants us to serve alongside the Germanton church family beginning in July, 2009. Our purpose is to continue the strong ministry that has been in place for the past 7 years under Dennis CollinsŐ leadership.

We will be there to represent our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, our evangelism ministry, and my dear friend, Dennis Collins. We appreciate your prayer support for Lisa and myself, for Germanton Baptist, and for a FULL RECOVERY to health and ministry for my friend, Dennis Collins.

NEW HORIZON COMMUNITY CHURCH

For the past year, Lisa and I have been involved with a new church start. Since January 2009, we have led the childrenŐs church ministry at New Horizon.

We will leave our active service at this time in order to serve at Germanton Baptist. Of course, we will maintain contact with Pastor Bobby Reece and the New Horizon church family to encourage the mission work they are doing in the Yadkinville community.

PRAYER NEEDS FOR NEW HORIZON:

*Pastor Bobby Reece, Debbie, Andrew, and Rebekah

*Pray for encouragement for the New Horizon church family.

*The lost to be saved

*A sponsoring church to provide financial and people resources

*More core group members are needed

*Pray that people will be drawn to New Horizon Community Church meeting at the YMCA.

Our ministry is experiencing significant financial challenges this year along with many Americans, churches, and non-profit organizations. We are especially grateful to those who faithfully sustain us with your prayers and financial support. Our faith ministry has been tested during the last year. However, God continues to prove His faithfulness in providing for our needs. Prayerfully consider the financial seed God may want you to sow into this ministry.

Store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. Matthew 6:20

Not Ashamed of the Gospel
Romans 1:16

" I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. For in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written:
' The righteous will live by faith.' "
