Spring 2002

Since November of 2001, I have had the opportunity to be SUPPLY PASTOR at Red Bank Baptist Church in Germanton, NC (Just outside of Winston-Salem). My plans are to remain at Red Bank through the month of May, 2002.

During these months Lisa and I are working with Red Bank and challenging this dear church family to "be on mission" and "reach precious souls" for the Kingdom of God.

We have planned an Outreach Blitz for the month of March preparing for Revival (with Dale Riddle, March 24-27) and Easter. We are anticipating the Spirit of God moving among us in the weeks ahead!

I believe that the Lord has placed us at Red Bank to give them a "shot in the arm" evangelistically speaking, and to help them prepare for their next Pastor. My prayer is that Red Bank Baptist Church will call a Pastor that has a heart for lost souls and the community!

Lisa and I feel blessed to have this time at Red Bank. The families at this dear church have been very warm and welcoming. Most of all, they have been receptive to the Gospel!

My preaching is (hopefully) loving, direct, Great Commission based, from my heart and with a distinct purpose! I believe that God's people (everywhere) are hungry for the TRUTH (Jesus) and hungry for Leadership with the focus being on precious lives being changed by Jesus!

I wish that we were winning the Battle for lost souls in America, but the truth is we are not! It is estimated that there are close to 200 Million lost people in the United States. If we (as Baptists) were to win (on average) 400,000 per year, it would take 50 Years to win every person. (And that is without anyone else being born)

What 's the answer?! 45,000 Southern Baptist Churches getting serious about reaching the lost in their communities! New Churches starting in our towns and cities! Pastors, Evangelists and lay people majoring on the MAIN THING! Our MAIN THING being Jesus' MAIN THING... Reaching Lost Souls!!

"For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost." Luke 19:10

"... as the Father has sent Me, I also send you." John 20:21

Let's live this Easter season and everyday so that the world will know that JESUS SAVES!!

A SERVANT FOR THE SAVIOR,
Justin
(Romans 1:16)

Prayer Requests:

  1. We are grateful to God for this ministry's privilege in seeing approximately 100 individuals profess faith in Jesus Christ last year. Eighty professions of faith were witnessed while on mission in Uruguay with the Beck's Baptist Church team. Also, countless seeds were planted for the kingdom of God. Pray that those seeds will grow and bloom for the glory of God. Seeing lives changed for eternity is the main purpose of this ministry.
  2. We are thankful for the contributions received in December 2001 of over $12,000.00. God is always faithful to supply our needs.
  3. We are grateful for the interim supply preaching and revival opportunities God has provided for the spring. Continue to pray for more ministry opportunities this year.
  4. We appreciate your prayers for Lisa's father, Bruce Howell, as he continues to recover from recent surgery. Also, continue to pray for Lisa's mother, Lora Howell, as she continues to battle diabetes and the effects of strokes. We thank God for answered prayer on their behalf.
