In Memory
This winter we have experienced two especially difficult and painful times of grief in the deaths of our friends, Brandi and June. Although we recognize their bodies were growing weary; we still miss their faithful friendship and support in our daily lives. These friends were the agents of God’s unconditional, agape love in our lives. They were faithful to support us, encourage us, and help us when we needed them.
What a blessing to have friends to encourage us on life’s journey! Many of you, reading this newsletter, are friends and partners who sustain us as we continue the marathon race of the Christian life and ministry. Words can not adequately express our gratitude for you. We are better people for having the love of these special friends in our lives.

Ecclesiastes 3 (The Message) tells us
There is an opportune time to do things,
A right time for everything on the earth:
A right time for birth and another time for death,
A right time to cry and another time to laugh,
A right time to lament and another to cheer,
A right time to hold on and another time to let go.
GERMANTON BAPTIST CHURCH
Lisa and I are blessed to be serving the Lord at Germanton Baptist Church at this time. The fellowship is strong. The music ministry is second to none. The youth and children’s ministries are exceptional. The staff, deacons, and church family have tremendous hearts for our Lord and His mission on earth!
We are preparing for Revival Services, March 14-17,2010. We expect God to bring a great harvest! Our Lord has had His hand on His church at Germanton in a protective manner in the past few months. Where the enemy (Satan) would like to divide and conquer, the Lord is maturing his people and pouring out blessing upon blessing!
God is leading us to new heights and levels of walking by faith that can only come from hitting our knees and crying out to Him. These are times when we have no place to turn and no one else to turn to! I am so glad that the Germanton leadership and church family realizes that we cannot do anything without Jesus that is going to last. (John 15:5)
I truly believe that the Lord wants all Christians to get to the place in our lives where we realize that everything we do and hope to accomplish (eternally) is for His praise, honor and glory! Oh, I know we say it, sing it, preach it and act like we believe it, but, do we live it?
I love anointed preachers, pastors, evangelists, music ministers, soloists, choirs, Bible teachers, writers, theologians, expositors, soul-winners, youth ministers, children’s ministers, song writers, Christian comedians and even cooks. I love and embrace the family of God with all her diverse gifts, personalities and people.
That being said, my Dad taught me something years ago and preached it in my ordination sermon that I will never forget;
“That no flesh should glory in His presence”
(1 Corinthians 1:29) KJV
“that no man should boast before God”
(1 Corinthians 1:29) NASV
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, my prayer for all of us is that we will lift up the precious name of Jesus in all that we are called to be and to do. It cannot and must not ever be about us. Everything must be about Jesus and giving him the glory!
Ephesians 1:6, 12, 14 says: “to the praise of His glory”
May it always be so and may many precious souls be saved in the days ahead because we love Jesus and lift up His precious name!!
A Servant for the Savior,
Justin
