Uruguay 2001
In March, 20 youth and adults
from Becks
Baptist Church traveled
to South America for a Missions / Evangelism
Impact. What we experienced was true REVIVAL and
SPIRITUAL RENEWAL in the country of
Uruguay.
In 4 days of Impact (visiting in
the mornings; puppets, clowning, skits, etc., in
the afternoons; preaching, Jesus Film at night) we
witnessed 80 people trusting Jesus Christ for
salvation and 50 prospects for bible studies.
WOW!!
God was good and His Spirit was
flowing!! What a blessing to be a part of a
life-changing experience for so many!!
How does that happen? (you might
ask) Well, it was simply God's people letting God
have full control of the week. That's it! One of
our girls put it this way ...
"I saw the face of Jesus in
all of our faces."
That says it all!!
May we choose to give the Lord
Jesus Christ full control of all we attempt to
accomplish for Him in the days ahead. That's all
this preacher knows to do!!
In June, I received news that my
step-brother had died of a heart attack suddenly.
He was only 46 years old.
He had made a profession of
faith and was baptized by my father many years
ago..
